Our story
Semina is a family owned and operated bar & restaurant, built on ancestral land, that has been in operation since 1987. The original restaurant was a “warung” with a few tables. In 1993, with the increase of tourism in Lovina beach, the restaurant was torn down and rebuilt with increased capacity and a raised floor and ceiling.
Ibu semi (the mother of the family) has been the operator and chef for many years. The business is now managed by her daughter Ketut Wari.
Throughout its history, Semina has featured authentic Balinese and Indonesian cuisine. Specialties include Betutu Bebek (crispy fried or grilled farm duck) and roast suckling pig. Both are served with soup, vegetables, and Balinese spices, steamed rice, and fresh fruit salad.
For the last few years, a spa therapy has been added next to the restaurant, to provide guests relaxation and rejuvenation with traditional Balinese healing massage.
